(Swaad) 38 : 25
فَغَفَرْنَا لَهُ ذَٰلِكَ ۖ وَإِنَّ لَهُ عِنْدَنَا لَزُلْفَىٰ وَحُسْنَ مَآبٍ
And We forgave him that, and indeed he has nearness with Us, and the best destination.
On reminding about the mistake and offense, Dawood falls into Prostration (where a servant is nearest to his Lord) and pleads for forgiveness. Since he had the nature of seeking forgiveness and repentance, it is told in verse that he has nearness to the Lord and the Best Destination. See explanation 13: 29-30; 28: 85, and 39: 53-55.
